Manolis Matsaggos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rune Brodin. Rune Brodin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mexico booed when Lufsarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Käcker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Rune Brodin made a huge save. Rune Brodin was a little too slow when Facundo Cadaval got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-3. Lufsarna made a substitution. Gert Dahlqvist replaced Deon Broussard. Lufsarna's Mario Kart was substituted for Christoffer Engman. Macos Graciani got a throw-in 65 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joel Gaona. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rune Brodin. Rune Brodin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 75th minute, Ingvar Bruhn made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Gert Dahlqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Orvar Tham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Macos Graciani with Luca Zorita as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 91st minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Olof Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Manolis Matsaggos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lufsarna.
