Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benne Verdonk quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 21 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damian Kisiel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zahir Betroni got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Patrik Leppänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Zahir Betroni tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zahir Betroni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. The supporters of Nakties Klajūnai booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zahir Betroni. After 45 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Nakties Klajūnai's Zahir Betroni got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Schütterle, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benne Verdonk having to make a save.
