In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ongamira's goalkeeper Ovidio Cutberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Ongamira fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Ongamira's Hipolito Tolino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 23 minutes into the match, Ongamira's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Ovidio Cutberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Hipolito Tolino could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Jonathan Ferrant however easily saved by the left post. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidio Cutberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
