Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Kobliček in the 16th minute of the match. After 19 minutes of play, Kahyaspor's Peter Kobliček made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zafer Pınar in the 31st minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zafer Pınar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zafer Pınar's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Müjdat Öktürk was slow to take the kick. During this time Kahyaspor's players had a chance to rest. Thanks to some nice moves Axel Tasis could shoot a difficult shot in the 39th minute, which Nadir Siddik however easily saved by the left post. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zafer Pınar went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Peter Kobliček sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. A collision led to Kahyaspor getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Zafer Pınar hit a great ball. Kahyaspor's Zafer Pınar got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 68 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. After 81 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Günalp Akcebe sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Kahyaspor booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Kahyaspor could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
