After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Balamir Demircioğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Balamir Demircioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barışcan Özyurt made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Axel Tasis sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the match, ErbaA KartaLı's goalkeeper Barışcan Özyurt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. Lautaro Puig spun around in front of the goal 27 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of ErbaA KartaLı's goal. Harun Mertoğlu hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 34th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Axel Tasis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Barışcan Özyurt 42 minutes into the match. Eliseo Noboa's late challenge caught a ErbaA KartaLı's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseo Noboa helped the player get up and apologised. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Balamir Demircioğlu to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 56th minute of play forced ErbaA KartaLı's goalkeeper Barışcan Özyurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barışcan Özyurt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, ErbaA KartaLı's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Barışcan Özyurt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emrullah Kantürk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lautaro Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Barışcan Özyurt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 85th minute of play forced ErbaA KartaLı's goalkeeper Barışcan Özyurt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Hugo Ferrant got a throw-in 92 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Aaron Alcocer. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when ErbaA KartaLı was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balamir Demircioğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Efrain Moruga in the 96th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ErbaA KartaLı's Balamir Demircioğlu. Many of ErbaA KartaLı's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. ErbaA KartaLı may have spent more time on the ball, but Costa Rica were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
