Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Buġibba Youngsters's Nikolai Gerada started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buġibba Youngsters's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Buġibba Youngsters defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francesco Ciantar. The Buġibba Youngsters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francesco Ciantar should have stopped the shot. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Francesco Ciantar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute. Francesco Ciantar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Andino's late challenge caught a Buġibba Youngsters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luis Andino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Buġibba Youngsters booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 25th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joseph De Fremeaux during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joseph De Fremeaux kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Francesco Ciantar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Ciantar having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Nikolai Gerada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Francesco Ciantar. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Ciantar having to interfere. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Francesco Ciantar made a huge save. Francesco Ciantar was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-4. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Buġibba Youngsters's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francesco Ciantar quite easily take care of the ball. In the 70th minute Joseph De Fremeaux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buġibba Youngsters's Francesco Ciantar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Buġibba Youngsters from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francesco Ciantar. That made the score 1-6 after 78 minutes of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph De Fremeaux in the 83rd minute of play. Buġibba Youngsters's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Samuel Montebello in the 85th minute. Samuel Montebello made a great header on Buġibba Youngsters's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 88th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-7. Ivan Chircop kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The Buġibba Youngsters fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
