Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Francisco Seco got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Bueno in the 5th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Fabio Savona threw the ball into play from the sideline. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Bueno's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After 13 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. In the 14th minute of the match Fabio Savona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Gayoso skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Severino Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 19 minutes into the game, Kevin Carballal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eleven Young Elephants the free kick. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kevin Carballal hit a great ball. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatko Zahovič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Severino Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 32 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Bueno came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zlatko Zahovič in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Zlatko Zahovič ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Aaron Tanti made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Aaron Tanti in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Bueno was the one to do the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Zlatko Zahovič who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Eleven Young Elephants defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Tanti. The Eleven Young Elephants fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Tanti should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Severino Bueno took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. In the 70th minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Eleven Young Elephants's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. Uruguay's Jaime Cazalla was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aaron Tanti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Aaron Tanti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Bruno Beldad hit a great ball. Fabio Savona took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Severino Bueno had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severino Bueno was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Eleven Young Elephants's Aaron Tanti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 93rd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino Bueno in the 95th minute. The Uruguay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Eleven Young Elephants's performance. The match ended with a win for Eleven Young Elephants.
