The supporters of ALTHENTIC F.C booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julian Murillo to strike the kick off in the second half. The ALTHENTIC F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elco Das in the 95th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claudinei Xavier who took care of the corner kick. Hermengildo Laurentzi was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. ALTHENTIC F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
