Clodoveo Rojas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clodoveo Rojas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Nusnäs IF's Clodoveo Rojas. Clodoveo Rojas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Nusnäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Gregory didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Clodoveo Rojas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 40 minutes into the match, Nusnäs IF's Bai Peng Ning sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bai Peng Ning was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Bai Peng Ning could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 53rd match minute, Nusnäs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Erik Caspersson to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Clodoveo Rojas made a huge save. Clodoveo Rojas came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 80 played minutes Nusnäs IF got a freekick which was hit by Arne Lundberg. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Clodoveo Rojas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Nusnäs IF's Clodoveo Rojas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 83rd minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bai Peng Ning went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
