Olaf Domaradzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Horinka in the 24th minute of play. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olaf Domaradzki having to make a save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franciszek Pisarczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gawronki Siemce's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
