Giresun United F.K ©'s Kubat Aydınoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 4th minute of play. Kubat Aydınoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 9th minute of the match. Giresun United F.K ©'s Alemdar Oykan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leonardo Leoz in the 12 minute of the game. Kubat Aydınoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 15th minute of play. After 17 minutes Giresun United F.K ©'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Giresun United F.K ©'s Kubat Aydınoğlu did a great save. 22 minutes into the match, Georg Bringtoft had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Georg Bringtoft was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kubat Aydınoğlu having to interfere. In the 40th play minute Naci Tuncel came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dante Lacasa. 3-1. In the 44th minute, Isac Blomkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Georg Bringtoft was the one to do the kick off. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kubat Aydınoğlu having to interfere. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Giresun United F.K ©'s goalkeeper Kubat Aydınoğlu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kubat Aydınoğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giresun United F.K ©'s Fabian Jablonski was substituted for Alemdar Oykan. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 71st minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Luca Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Kubat Aydınoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Kubat Aydınoğlu threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 88th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kubat Aydınoğlu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 90 minutes of play, Giresun United F.K ©'s Naci Tuncel made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Jablonski in the 95th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giresun United F.K ©'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
