Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Seco made the kick off and thus started the match. When INTER's Andrei Măgură in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. In the 9th minute of the game Erhardt Wall made a throw-in which Theodosis Kasselakis played forward. 13 minutes into the match, INTER's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Ignacio Mahuzier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, INTER's Markos Kalabalikis got a free kick in the 19th minute. Ignacio Mahuzier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Mahuzier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Seco might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ignacio Mahuzier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Seco ran back to his position shaking his head. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrei Măgură, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Andrei Măgură who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Măgură came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Uruguay were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the match, INTER's goalkeeper Ignacio Mahuzier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. A collision led to INTER getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Lakis Kavazis hit a great ball. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Mahuzier made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Ignacio Mahuzier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 65th minute. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ignacio Mahuzier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. INTER's Ignacio Mahuzier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 74th minute of play. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kostas Briakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. When Gartxot Verdugo fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INTER's protests and gave Gartxot Verdugo a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes INTER got a freekick which was hit by Gartxot Verdugo. In the 90th minute, Kostas Briakos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The INTER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jaime Cazalla was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Uruguay's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
