The Rank 1 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Hagström should have stopped the shot. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Ulf Ros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rank 1 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Rank 1 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conny Vesterberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 36th minute, Rank 1's Conny Vesterberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Hagström having to interfere. Conny Vesterberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Conny Vesterberg in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Conny Vesterberg scored 3-2 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Camilo Gaos's late challenge caught a Rank 1's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gaos helped the player get up and apologised. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes, Rank 1's Michael Lundqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rank 1 reached it. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conny Vesterberg went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Rank 1's Conny Vesterberg got a free kick in the 75th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Rank 1 booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rank 1's Conny Vesterberg managed to work through Venezuela's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Conny Vesterberg dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The throw-in from Fredric Åhman in the 95th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jose Correa. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rank 1 had played much better football throughout.
