Álvaro Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Aquiles Gana scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Fonseca in the 11th minute of the match. Aquiles Gana had several of the Colombia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 11 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Pedro Manzanares as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 14th minute of the match Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dražen Ladić showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. AC Morena's Dražen Ladić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Axel Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dražen Ladić narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, AC Morena's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dražen Ladić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 30th minute of the match. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Morena's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 34th minute of the match, Aquiles Gana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Manzanares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dražen Ladić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AC Morena's Dražen Ladić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 38th minute of play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Cristoforo Labate tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Manzanares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aldo Di Biagio. In the 47th minute, Pascual Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aquiles Gana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Joshua Garrido hit a great ball. Pascual Carballar kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Dražen Ladić in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Álvaro Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dražen Ladić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristoforo Labate in the 72nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Aquiles Gana sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alex Cellucci, made in the 74th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Abram Secada slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dražen Ladić. That made the score 4-1 after 75 minutes of play. In the 79th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascual Carballar to maneuver through the defense. Aldo Di Biagio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Fonseca in the 81st minute of the match. Abram Secada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dražen Ladić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute Abram Secada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dražen Ladić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
