Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Téo Mello started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 3 minutes Cup2's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cup2's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseo Moreno came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Mello in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cup2's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Luis Andino heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 24th minute Dimcho Fuskov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Valeri Hadzhisotirov fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cup2's protests and gave Valeri Hadzhisotirov a yellow card for diving instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Téo Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 53rd minute of the match Valeri Hadzhisotirov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Valeri Hadzhisotirov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Téo Mello struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cup2. Eliseo Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Téo Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliseo Moreno was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute Aleandro Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Téo Mello did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Julio Vera 88 minutes into the match. Cup2's Eliseo Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 95th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
