The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ted Stroobos in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Albertus FC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Netzach Nieth ran over to the corner to take the kick. Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Albertus FC from getting a goal against them. Albertus FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Ted Stroobos, making the score, 1-1. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warman de Jager in the 47th minute of play. The supporters of Albertus FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhou Kang Cheng made a kick off. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhou Kang Cheng in the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ted Stroobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ted Stroobos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute of play. Albertus FC's Zhou Kang Cheng got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnold Hemmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Edgar Merenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ted Stroobos. Ted Stroobos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 85th minute of play forced Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhou Kang Cheng in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
