Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Schütterle in the 3rd minute of play. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Benne Verdonk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benne Verdonk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 10th minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zahir Betroni hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Benne Verdonk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Felix Luque hit a great ball. Leon Schütterle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Leon Schütterle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nakties Klajūnai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 37 minutes into the match, Nakties Klajūnai's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Benne Verdonk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benne Verdonk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 43rd minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mexico were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Nakties Klajūnai's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Mexico's Luca Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Benne Verdonk in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 67 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benne Verdonk was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Mexico booed when Nakties Klajūnai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Irmantas Jasilionis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nakties Klajūnai's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benne Verdonk came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benne Verdonk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 75th minute of play. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Carter Cera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd of the match, Alberto Tafalla tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Benne Verdonk got in the way and made a wonderful save. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Nakties Klajūnai's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After a rather tough play, Nakties Klajūnai's Zahir Betroni got a free kick in the 85th minute. Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Nakties Klajūnai's Mathijs Grommers got a free kick in the 88th minute. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nakties Klajūnai's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. 95 minutes into the match, Nakties Klajūnai's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Benne Verdonk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mexico played a much better game than Nakties Klajūnai and deserved their victory. The Nakties Klajūnai players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
