A collision led to forsal FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Patricio Eneto hit a great ball. Franco Fortunato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. 16 minutes into the game, forsal FC's Fabio Allemandi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Franco Fortunato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Franco Fortunato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Aquilino in the 24th minute of play. Válter Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. forsal FC's Válter Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 29th minute of play. If Kevin Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Attilio Pani made a kick off. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Válter Tasso in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Válter Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Axel Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Válter Tasso however easily saved by the left post. In the 67th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santino Seco in the 69th minute of play forced forsal FC's goalkeeper Válter Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, forsal FC's goalkeeper Válter Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro.
