After a rather tough play, Albertus FC's Zhou Kang Cheng got a free kick in the 4th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Zhou Kang Cheng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albertus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zhou Kang Cheng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Warman de Jager ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Arnold Hemmen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. Ted Stroobos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Ted Stroobos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Albertus FC's goalkeeper Ted Stroobos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Daniel Zorita scored 2-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Stroobos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Pieter Theissen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Ted Stroobos was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Albertus FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita came free and shot a quick shot against goal 57 minutes in the game, fortunately Ted Stroobos had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Albertus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 58th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Saelices stood ready after the free kick and tried to head the ball into the goal, but got pushed from behind by one of Albertus FC's defenders and the ball went out. Ecuador appealed in vain for a penalty, the referee looked over at the linesman, but the flag stayed down. No Penalty. In the 63rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Stroobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Albertus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After 65 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Warman de Jager. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Stroobos having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Luis Andino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ted Stroobos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luis Andino shot a long shot in the 70th minute and a light blocked Ted Stroobos hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-3. 73 minutes into the match, Albertus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ted Stroobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis Andino struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ted Stroobos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Albertus FC's Ted Stroobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 77th minute of play. Cristo Guzman charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristo Guzman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Albertus FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristo Guzman. A collision led to Albertus FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cristo Guzman hit a great ball. Ted Stroobos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Albertus FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Albertus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Ted Stroobos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Warman de Jager cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Albertus FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Cristo Guzman hit a great ball. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
