Mexico were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Dal 3ello's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Dal 3ello were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Davi Dal Bello took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play forced Dal 3ello's goalkeeper Igor Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Igor Taffarel. Igor Taffarel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 34th minute, Izak Lamonica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute of the match Davi Dal Bello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Davi Dal Bello kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

Dal 3ello made a substitution. Leopoldo Loureiro replaced Natan Dal Bello. Igor Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 52nd minute of the match. Dal 3ello's Ronaldo Dal Bello was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 60th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Dal 3ello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Igor Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Davi Dal Bello came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 93rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Loureiro in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Dal Bello in the 96th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mexico had won after a very even match.
