If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Battal Cüneyt Oksu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Ahmet Nedim Ertaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 played minutes Valar morghulis got a freekick which was hit by Halit Fahri Sayın. In the 15th minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rüştü Rencber showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Valar morghulis booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gökay Ömür in the 16th minute of the match. In the 16th play minute Gökay Ömür came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 1-0. In the 23rd minute Valar morghulis were awarded a corner. Gökay Ömür went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Rüştü Rencber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Battal Cüneyt Oksu in the 39th minute of play. Aşır Koç's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aşır Koç helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Aşır Koç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Battal Cüneyt Oksu to strike the kick off in the second half. Battal Cüneyt Oksu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Battal Cüneyt Oksu in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Cristian Sancho sped through Valar morghulis's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rüştü Rencber. The supporters of Valar morghulis booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute of the match Gökay Ömür shot from a long distance. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
