Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Hodei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes of play, Foot Fighters's José Augusto Macedo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iker Tafalla during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iker Tafalla hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Ovidio Urko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Romulo Hodei took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Foot Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes Foot Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Gitano. Raimundo Giraldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 37th minute. After 44 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Raul Venegas. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romulo Hodei to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Romulo Hodei tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 54th minute of play forced Foot Fighters's goalkeeper Raimundo Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnoldo Iliana's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Iliana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th match minute, Foot Fighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Iliana to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Foot Fighters's Benicio Oihan got a free kick in the 58th minute. Raimundo Giraldo came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. But to his dismay, Jaime Pardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Babbis Serafidis struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jacobo Nores didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foot Fighters. Paraguay's Iker Tafalla quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Benicio Oihan, made in the 76th minute of the game. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Foot Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romulo Hodei took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Hodei in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. 89 minutes into the match, Foot Fighters's Romulo Hodei sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. José Augusto Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
