With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Kornecki prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Delphine Stars's Fabian Kornecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Liviu Gogu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Lacasa. The goal made the score 1-1. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Delphine Stars's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Kornecki came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vyacheslav Korolev took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Lacasa. Mexico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Liviu Gogu came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Liviu Gogu sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liviu Gogu got free with Dante Lacasa in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, Vasile Ştirbu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 47 minutes into the game, Luca Zorita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delphine Stars the free kick. Delphine Stars made a substitution. Ingvar Nässén replaced Ferdinand Hohenzollern. Luca Zorita hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Delphine Stars getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cosme Cruz hit a great ball. After 55 played minutes Delphine Stars got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Damario. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liviu Gogu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Fabian Kornecki successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lautaro Mancebo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fabian Kornecki was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 2-2. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Kornecki having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Delphine Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Fabian Kornecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alberto Tafalla scored 2-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Kornecki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Delphine Stars's goalkeeper Fabian Kornecki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. 95 minutes into the match, Delphine Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Fabian Kornecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
