An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Klose in the 28th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, ☆☆Pαbɭó Escóbαr☆☆ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miroslav Klose to maneuver through the defense. After 45 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Baltazar Delioğlu who took care of the corner kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
