Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) In the 5th minute of the match, Candido Platon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 6th minute Itacaruaré FC were awarded a corner. Domingos Bernat went to the cornerflag to take it. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eriberto Ledesma. Gilberto Dacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Dacio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Itacaruaré FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Itacaruaré FC's Gilberto Dacio did a great save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Dacio saved Itacaruaré FC from getting behind. In the 18th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Itacaruaré FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Itacaruaré FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gilberto Dacio quite easily take care of the ball. Gilberto Dacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Candido Platon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Candido Platon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Marciano Garcia came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. Gilberto Dacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of the match. Laureano Kemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute Candido Platon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Itacaruaré FC's Efrain Haitz got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Dacio having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marciano Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Camilo Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Ledesma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Itacaruaré FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. With his leg Gilberto Dacio managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Itacaruaré FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Laureano Kemen hit a great ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itacaruaré FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Dacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Platon in the 81st minute of play. Itacaruaré FC were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Domingos Bernat took the corner. Itacaruaré FC's Domingos Bernat was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gilberto Dacio was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Ledesma in the 87th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marciano Garcia in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itacaruaré FC's goalkeeper Gilberto Dacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilberto Dacio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.
