The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ace Cameron in the 17th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa scored 0-4 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Americo Felipo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 45th minute of play forced Purchil's goalkeeper Americo Felipo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Felipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lukasz Zgonina to make the kick off. Americo Felipo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Casaus in the 69th minute. In the 72nd minute, Mariano Lacasa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Americo Felipo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Americo Felipo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 76th minute. In the 82nd minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Americo Felipo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. The supporters of Purchil booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Carballar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lukasz Zgonina in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. A collision led to Purchil getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Dolfos Alarcon hit a great ball. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Americo Felipo made a huge save. Purchil's Americo Felipo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Purchil from getting a goal against them. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Ahonzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juan Ahonzo was slow to take the kick. During this time Purchil's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Juan Ahonzo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chile's Thiago Pliego did a great save.
