Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 12th minute of play forced Cieneguita's goalkeeper Saverio Gonchan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Diego Manex made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saverio Gonchan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Gonchan having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. 96 minutes into the match, Cieneguita's goalkeeper Saverio Gonchan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Facundo Cadaval. The Cieneguita fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
