Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todor Sivov in the 3rd minute of the match. Todor Sivov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Nencho Radionov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Yuri Dinolov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Todor Sivov sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The corner led to Ecuador's Felix Montes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 29 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nencho Radionov. Железничар's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 37 played minutes Железничар got a freekick which was hit by Imre Schlosser. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Todor Sivov. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Todor Sivov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nencho Radionov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 58th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nencho Radionov could save by the left post. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todor Sivov's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todor Sivov in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Todor Sivov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Todor Sivov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Kaloyan Cheriyski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 76th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Todor Sivov came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nencho Radionov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 83 minutes, Kaimo Hunt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Железничар's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaimo Hunt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 played minutes Железничар got a freekick which was hit by Velislav Bagalev. 90 minutes into the game, Todor Sivov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Железничар fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ecuador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
