Abandon All Hope's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilbert Gorzkiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Meng Yan Jing made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The corner ended in Felix Montes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing did a great save. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Meng Yan Jing made a huge save. Meng Yan Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 12th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Abandon All Hope's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Abandon All Hope's goalie and right to Juan Sebastián Puig. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Abandon All Hope's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a little luck, Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Meng Yan Jing came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustín Saelices slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Meng Yan Jing when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Abandon All Hope's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Meng Yan Jing, making the score, 2-0. Gilbert Gorzkiewicz scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Meng Yan Jing in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abandon All Hope's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. If Dedê de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Abandon All Hope's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meng Yan Jing came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Arendarski in the 52nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meng Yan Jing having to interfere. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meng Yan Jing. Meng Yan Jing dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Lucjan Borczak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho scored 4-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Meng Yan Jing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 67 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play forced Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abandon All Hope's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 79th minute, Michal Arendarski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 4-2. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meng Yan Jing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Meng Yan Jing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michal Arendarski in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them.
