An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Berset in the 13th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregor Kobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gregor Kobel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Mina in the 16th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Milagros Fraga took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Gregor Kobel to make any attempt to save it. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 22 played minutes Espen Steelers got a freekick which was hit by Ingo Minder. In the 24thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Montez in the 25th minute of play. Alain Berset scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nino Schurter in the 40th minute of the match. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Fraga. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nino Schurter in the 47th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Espen Steelers's Nino Schurter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Espen Steelers were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogelio Montez to make the kick off. Gregor Kobel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alain Berset. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Alain Berset tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Espen Steelers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
