If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meng Yan Jing having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Abandon All Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê de Castro to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Ye Hong struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abandon All Hope. Daniel Zorita let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 19th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. In the 24th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Meng Yan Jing. Abandon All Hope's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 28th minute, Cristian Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Abandon All Hope from getting a goal against them. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Gorzkiewicz in the 33rd minute of play. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Abandon All Hope's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Meng Yan Jing quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play forced Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Meng Yan Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Abandon All Hope getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ye Hong hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Abandon All Hope's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meng Yan Jing came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Meng Yan Jing came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 78th minute of play. Dedê de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dedê de Castro in the 80th minute. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 83rd minute of play. In the 89th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meng Yan Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Meng Yan Jing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Abandon All Hope's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Meng Yan Jing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dedê de Castro. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ecuador walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
