Julio Vera was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Ionel Ganea capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ionel Ganea really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roch Bara. Kryspin Bury hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ionel Ganea in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Bogdan Kasiewski made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 64th minute of play forced Agresor Team's goalkeeper Bogdan Kasiewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Agresor Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Bogdan Kasiewski made a huge save. Ionel Ganea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Primitivo Andino made in the 87th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. 93 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bogdan Kasiewski, 1-1. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
