Bernt Stigsson's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joachim Högman having to make a save. In the 12th match minute, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Pååk to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Giroud in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mattias Lenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Hardas Dunđer came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's goalkeeper Joachim Högman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla.
