Todd Gronow started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's zone, Cassius Byrne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Janpier came out of the goal and Cassius Byrne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Diego Bradley heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Marco Day was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Todd Gronow capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Todd Gronow really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hipolito Nafarroa took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 24th minute of play forced Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Janpier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Janpier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Inaki Mirabal in the 32nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Inaki Mirabal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marco Day quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Gronow, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Abelardo Janpier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todd Gronow in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Martin Justin hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cassius Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's Abelardo Janpier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 51st minute of play. Abelardo Janpier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Gronow, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Todd Gronow in the 57th minute of play. Cassius Byrne came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Abelardo Janpier could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, USA's Diego Bradley got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Andreas Harlén replaced Ildefonso Foro. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Todd Gronow scored 3-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marco Day, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacob May's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Abelardo Janpier firmly grabbed it by the left post. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC made a substitution. Mariusz Ratulowski replaced Todd Gronow. In the 83rd minute of the match USA got a corner. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jenson Smith ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Etxepare in the 88th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Barbieri de Ituzaingó FC were victorious despite being under pressure from USA for much of the match.
