Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francisco Seco took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Francisco Seco hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Antônio Aguiar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. 8 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Aguiar in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Zé Vieira in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. 20 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Dante came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Rui Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Inazuma Japan's Antônio Aguiar got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 35th play minute Maximiliano Escribano came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Zé Vieira. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Rui Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Rui Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Aguiar in the 40th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Camilo Franco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Vieira, 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Aguiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Vieira saved Inazuma Japan from getting behind. Zé Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Kevin Carballal hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Inazuma Japan's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Zé Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zé Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 68th minute of the match. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Uruguay's Francisco Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Inazuma Japan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Correia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zé Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 90 minutes, Rui Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inazuma Japan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
