Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Puig in the 10th minute of play forced Westbam's goalkeeper Tony Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Teodoro Rocha scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 1-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 18 played minutes Westbam got a freekick which was hit by Borys Smolarek. In the 21st minute, Zachariasz Labus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Tasis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Cléberson Alcântara could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. In the 30th minute of the match Golo Machinam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Teodoro Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cléberson Alcântara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. Aldo Buinton's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Buinton helped the player get up and apologised. Aldo Buinton hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Rocha in the 43rd minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Cléberson Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Rocha to make the kick off. Golo Machinam struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westbam. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Rocha in the 58th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Teodoro Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Cléberson Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Westbam's Tony Arruda got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tony Arruda. Tony Arruda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Arruda having to interfere. Aras Onultan hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 86th minute. Cléberson Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Cléberson Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Qian Wei Chao succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-1. Westbam's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
