With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irinel Soneriu saved FC Lutanu from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irinel Soneriu was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Irinel Soneriu made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Isidoro Sarmiento sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's goalkeeper Irinel Soneriu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. 12 minutes into the game, FC Lutanu's Octav Romaşcanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 25thth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Lutanu's Irinel Soneriu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yetkiner Yasun in the 29th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The supporters of FC Lutanu booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Isidoro Sarmiento fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Isidoro Sarmiento a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Yetkiner Yasun managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lutanu's supporters rose to their feet, but Yetkiner Yasun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcos Cotilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Barrios to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, FC Lutanu's Costin Uncheşelu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. In the 58th minute, Yetkiner Yasun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. In the 96th minute, Yetkiner Yasun made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-5. The FC Lutanu supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Lutanu would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
