Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off. Silvio Egun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. The supporters of Cuquero booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, one of Cuquero:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cuquero. Alan Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Cuquero's Silvio Egun was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Silvio Egun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Cambiasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Allison came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silvio Egun to strike the kick off in the second half. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sean Allison in the 55 minute of the game. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvio Egun, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dario Cambiasso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 65th minute. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Cuquero's Silvio Egun. But to his dismay, Silvio Egun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 73rd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Campos to maneuver through the defense. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvio Egun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Escribano to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st match minute, Cuquero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Rufio to maneuver through the defense. Dario Cambiasso made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. 91 minutes into the match, Sean Allison had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sean Allison was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Allison in the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cuquero had won after a very even match.
