Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nencho Radionov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todor Sivov in the 25th minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, Железничар's Todor Sivov made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kaloyan Cheriyski hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Kaloyan Cheriyski kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. When Kaloyan Cheriyski came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Железничар fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaloyan Cheriyski couldn't finish the play.
