Edoardo Rinaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. Edoardo Rinaldi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. 10 minutes into the match, Hector Covarrubias notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Valdieri's Alberto Andreola. Alberto Andreola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Valdieri's Alfonso Aloisi got a free kick in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Valdieri defense, Jaime Pardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alberto Andreola. The Valdieri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alberto Andreola should have stopped the shot. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Valdieri's Alfonso Aloisi got a free kick in the 21st minute. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Dennis Berardo with Alfonso Aloisi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Aloisi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Primitivo Escribano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alberto Andreola skillfully saved the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Alfonso Aloisi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valdieri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Valdieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Aloisi to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Iker Tafalla. Dennis Berardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Andreola came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. But to his dismay, Jaime Pardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 42 minutes into the game, Edoardo Rinaldi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jacobo Nores. Edoardo Rinaldi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When Hector Covarrubias fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paraguay's protests and gave Hector Covarrubias a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Hector Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Paraguay were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edoardo Rinaldi to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Edoardo Rinaldi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valdieri's supporters rose to their feet, but Edoardo Rinaldi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Stefano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Hector Covarrubias made a precise shot to the right of Alberto Andreola. Valdieri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Dennis Berardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Rinaldi came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Aloisi came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Rinaldi in the 71st minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edoardo Rinaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Stefano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdieri's Alberto Andreola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Valdieri from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute, Edoardo Rinaldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Forte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavier Zoido kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Valdieri's Dennis Berardo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Paraguay. The Paraguay players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
