Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Wanderson Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. Wanderson Mello in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Benito Sanz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 16 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frédson Matos. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Mello in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Mello came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Frédson Matos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Matorin notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frédson Matos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 33 minute of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Matorin in the 37th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Matorin in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Frédson Matos lined in a short shot 5-0 behind a frustrated Benito Sanz. Fahl Malvadão FC™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Fahl Malvadão FC™'s Frédson Matos. But to his dismay, Frédson Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. In the 62ndth minute of the game Wanderson Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Matorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute Frédson Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wanderson Mello's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Fahl Malvadão FC™'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Alex Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Fahl Malvadão FC™ booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Juan Rubio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fahl Malvadão FC™ the free kick. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
