Mustang V8's Niceto Paio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Mustang V8 from getting a goal against them. After taking down the ball on Uruguay's corner Jaime Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Niceto Paio quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gadiel Bobadilla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. The corner ended in Jaime Cazalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mustang V8's Niceto Paio did a great save. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Iraitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niceto Paio made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Niceto Paio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Jonathan Massa fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mustang V8's protests and gave Jonathan Massa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Jonathan Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Francisco Seco took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Niceto Paio to make any attempt to save it. Francisco Seco's late challenge caught a Mustang V8's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Seco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Niceto Paio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niceto Paio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mustang V8's goalkeeper Niceto Paio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the game, Camilo Covarrubias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mustang V8 the free kick. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Uruguay fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mustang V8 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
