The audience was convinced that Luz Tejedor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Orlando Rivera was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Peru's Eliseo Mina to fire away a dangerous shot which Orlando Rivera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlando Rivera saved Todos al Fondo from getting behind. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Todos al Fondo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alonso Berganza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Todos al Fondo's Orlando Rivera did a great save. 31 minutes into the match, Todos al Fondo's goal looked a bit too open when Milagros Fraga came free, but Orlando Rivera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Gotzon in the 33rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 35th minute of play forced Todos al Fondo's goalkeeper Orlando Rivera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justino Gotzon to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Todos al Fondo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Gotzon in the 59th minute of play. Orlando Rivera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Milagros Fraga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 60 minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Todos al Fondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elizardo Moyua to maneuver through the defense. Orlando Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 66th minute of play. In the 68thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Todos al Fondo's Orlando Rivera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Julian Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Todos al Fondo's Tiémoué Bakayoko was substituted for Jacobo Fidele. Orlando Rivera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 74th minute of play. Orlando Rivera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 82nd minute of the match. Todos al Fondo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Julian Murillo scored to the left of an out of position Orlando Rivera, making the score, 1-4. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Maurito Boselli struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Todos al Fondo. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiémoué Bakayoko, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Peru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
