Valdieri's Alberto Andreola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 21st minute of play. Edoardo Rinaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 26th minute of the match Dennis Berardo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Berardo in the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Valdieri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Cara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennis Berardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. The long shot by Dennis Berardo in the 40th minute really tested Benito Sanz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a rather tough play, Valdieri's Antonio Forte got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes, Valdieri's Dennis Berardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Valdieri reached it. Valdieri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Axel Tasis scored to the left of an out of position Alberto Andreola, making the score, 1-3. Emiliano Cara kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edoardo Rinaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rdth minute of the game Edoardo Rinaldi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Puig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Andreola having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Axel Tasis took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Alberto Andreola to make any attempt to save it. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edoardo Rinaldi in the 88th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Moruga during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. After 92 played minutes, Valdieri's Anfilogino Di Santo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The referee gave Alan Moruga a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 94th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute of the match Dennis Berardo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Costa Rica were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Valdieri side.
