The supporters of Panama booed when Hangovers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pantelis Pesmatzoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonidas Stelopoulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Stelios Kyriakiou reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcos Cotilla. The goal made the score 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Savas Dalianas in the 53rd minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leonidas Stelopoulos.
