SALI's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Tanek Narbut, making the score, 2-2. 87 minutes into the match, SALI's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tanek Narbut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damazy Dziewedik in the 91st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
