Haroldo Enetz kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mustang V8's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Mustang V8 getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Haroldo Enetz hit a great ball. Niceto Paio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Massa's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jonathan Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mustang V8's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gadiel Bobadilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
