The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pontus Jönsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pontus Jönsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 87th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Napalone surykatki got a freekick which was hit by Zakarias Skoldborg. 94 minutes into the game, Felix Luque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Napalone surykatki the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Bon Giorno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Bon Giorno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Mexico players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Napalone surykatki from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
