After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Cepot Subarkah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Cepot Subarkah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Solusi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Amund Villensgaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amund Villensgaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of play. Solusi FC's Amund Villensgaard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play. Alfonso Reyes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If José Carlos Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amund Villensgaard came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. In the 40th minute Alfonso Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Alfonso Reyes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Amund Villensgaard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Alfonso Reyes's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Reyes helped the player get up and apologised. Alfonso Reyes hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes Solusi FC got a freekick which was hit by Ibnu Kalengkongan. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Reyes in the 64th minute of the match. Amund Villensgaard made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Alfonso Reyes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amund Villensgaard, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Solusi FC's Amund Villensgaard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Solusi FC from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Amund Villensgaard skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Solusi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oteng Suharyadi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
