Juventus FSCMZ's Leonardo Da Vinci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 10th minute of play. Leonardo Da Vinci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Da Vinci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Leonardo Da Vinci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Da Vinci. G.E. Juventus FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Juventus FSCMZ got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Benas Brazys ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Benas Brazys almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. 93 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonardo Da Vinci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonio Tenorio got free with Leonardo Da Vinci in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than G.E. Juventus FSCMZ throughout the match.
